Day 22 Still working on the damn tree+

I got up a little hung over from last night.  I had a great time!  I hadn't danced so I let it rip.  Starting next Tuesday, I will be attending my new acting class so I won't be going out so much on Tuesdays.

My fingers are hurting from tearing these little green ties from the Xmas tree.  I must have taken at least close to 1000 of them.  I'm looking forward to finishing tomorrow.  I'm looking at it this way, at least I'm working. :)

Day 21

I had a great day today.  I helped a friend setting up a christmas tree for his boss.  It is a 14 foot xmas tree with preset lighting.  One problem 2/3 of the lights don't work.  We had to test some bulbs.  I guess I'll be working tomorrow.  It looks I'll be going out this evening.  I haven't gone out in awhile for lack of mula.

I also started to rehearse The Fugitive Kind.  We are doing it bilingual!

Day 20

Class was fantastic tonight.  My acting teacher talked about the three most important ingredients for acting.  We must have AUTHENTICITY, BELIEF and TRUST.
Authenticity is to be a real person with your originality stamp. Another words,

Day 17

Today was a little crazy.  First, I had an audition for the TV show, 100 Questions and then I met my scene partner at a coffee shop, but before that I met with my manager for a sec at Starbucks.  All of this happened by 3 pm.  I thought I did good at the audition.

Day 16

What a day.  Today I got early and had my breakfast, and while eating, my dogg peed all over the kitchen, living room and hallway. I cleaned it up which took me over 30 mins.  I can't blame Puppy; he's 14 years old.  I went to bed afterwards and was awaken by my agent for an audition for a show "1000 Questions".  I got the material but haven't gone over it well because I also went to go see the private screening, of

Day 15

I went to the audition today for the play and the director said I didn't fit the 18 year-old character but wanted me read for the other lead role who is Jamaican.  I agreed to read and I did fantastic. She said she

Day 14

Today I had such a great rush of energy even though I only had 3 hours of sleep.  I went to gym and started my 2nd week.  I feel fantastic, I know understand why people call it a rush.  I have an audition for the play tomorrow.  The role is intense, a bisexual, soon to be father, crystal-meth addict.

And this is great one, I got a little residual check and I think I'm going to be all right through the end of December.  I may not be going home but I'm preparing to do great thing in the year ahead. I'm full speed ahead.

Day 13 Great news

An actor's success is just a phone call away. Got some great news.  I got a call today for a role on an independent film titled, Kid's Class..  I worked on the film last year but they didn't finish so I'm back. We shoot in the middle of January. Acting class

I'm writing at around 12:00 am since I have been busy with keeping my blog post at RTP Transformation, www.rtptransformation.com. Here is what I've accomplished in 6 days.

Day 11

I have done so good in keeping up my health and physique in the last 5 days.  I'm still hurting but it's not as bad as the 2nd day.  I'm writing a letter to Selma Hayhek this eveing for Pepito's America. Wouldn't it be nice to sell the show? Still no word on Extra Work.

Day 10

Friday, and no where to go; however, I made some guacamole and I have some films to see, yummy. I have no plans for the weekend I'm starting a new acting class on Tuesdays so I'll think I type a scene I'm doing and replant some plants in the front. I'm also cleaning my room.

My body is still hurting from working out but it's not as bad as yesterday.

Day 9

Oh boy am I hurting today.  After 3 intense workouts for the last few days, I'm walking like an elderly man.  It has been just plain painful. I can't walk, bend over, scratch, move my arms or sit.  The pain is so extremely; it makes me laugh.  I'm sure it will go away within the next two days. I  HOPE.

Day 8

Today was my second day at the gym and I had a fantastic time at the gym.  I'm in pain but it's not that bad.   I also had a meeting with the producers of Just Me an Jose and it looks as if we will be doing the film on the first week of March.  Here is to hoping that everything goes well.

Day 7

We owe it to ourselves to be healthy in mind, spirit and health at one point in our lives.  All the drinking and wasting time comes to a halt.  Today I started the last  ,which is the health/my physique. I went to the gym and worked out, but I was careful not to over extend myself.  (See what kind of body I'm going to have)

Day 6

Monday!  What great day!  I know I said earlier this week that I was going to hit the gym, but I have not had the time to put my program together til today.  I basically sat around in front of the computer all afternoon and got my meals scheduled for all of this week. The so called "new active life" is called RTP Transformation System.

Day 5

I had so much fun last night at a Halloween party. My costume was RODRIGO VALDEZ, Juan Valdez's cousin from Chile.  I didn't take photos but it was hilarious. I wore a huge black hat all beaten up and my clothes were of a peasant, all torn up. I also wore a button that read, "Say no to Juan Valdez", a tin can with  the label, "Chilean Coffee, the proof is in the beans".  I was asking people, "Do you want to smell my beans?"  in the back of the label read, "Fuck Juan Valdez. He's not from Columbia, he's from Chile!"  I was a hit!

Day 4

Happy Halloween.  I'm not sure what is going on tonight, but I'm suppose to be going to party with a friend.  I promise I won't get too intoxicated.  I don't even know what I'm going to wear.  I will pull something down from the attic and see how creative I can be.  I was also invited to two other parties but because of the traffic, I don't really want to go to them.  Hopefully the first party will be happening!  Boo!

Day 3

I received a phone call from Central Casting today.  The casting agent wanted to use my car for an Aftra TV Show.  Aftra is one of the actor's unions and is the lesser one.  The job starts Monday morning. I hope they call back: haven't booked it.

I also discussed with a friend about the new Cohen Brother film, A Serious Man.  What a great film!  All the characters have been polished and the story is a little out there but it's sure is funny.  I highly recommend it.  The film is about a Jewish family in the 60's and the central character have some major problems all coming at one time.  The characters are real people.  Check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iggyFPls4w&feature=player_embedded

I'm looking forward to tomorrow Monster batch party.  I'm not dressing up in costume, but then again I always say this and it doesn't happen. If I take any photos, I'll post them up.

Day 2

October 29, 2009 10:20pm

I had a great experience at Central Casting, the extra service casting agency.  Around 100 people registered today. The agency registration hours are on Tuesdays and Thursday from 10:30 - 11:30 am.  It took me two hours to register, felt as if I was inside the DMV; I mean they even had that government attitude; however, it made the experience more memorable. ;)

Day 1

What an epiphany I had earlier this morning! I'm excited to say that "I am excited". I just got back from Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT film/concert. I'm telling you, we lost a great Master, but his music lives in us. I learned that Michael was a true genius.

Day 1: October 28, 2009 4:15am

My crtique from Milton Katselas, "All you need is to believe".

BELIEVE -  ACCEPT AS TRUTH
Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Carlos Moreno Jr. and I'm from a small town, San Juan, in Texas. I was born into poverty and worked in the fields of Michigan since the age of 12 harvesting fruits and vegetables every Summer. It was in these long Summer days of the 80's, where for hours I would have conversations with myself. Scary enough to be talking to oneself but the thing was that you had over 8 - 12 hours of isolation at work. This caused me to drift into a make believe land where I thought of the possibilities life could offer; the possibility of becoming an artist, THE ACTOR.
