Day 20

Class was fantastic tonight.  My acting teacher talked about the three most important ingredients for acting.  We must have AUTHENTICITY, BELIEF and TRUST.
Authenticity is to be a real person with your originality stamp. Another words,
making it your own. We can do this by bringing in ourselves to the character, which will make the character fuller but the trick is to make it seamless and we do this with belief.

An actor must have full belief in the circumstances and invest in the belief fully. There is not question about the validity of your belief in the circumstances. When we have full belief and no doubt, this is when we enter the character. The best actors believe intently in everything thing that is happening to them during the scene.

And last, we need to trust ourselves that the acting will be there. We do this trust by asking questions and being imaginative. Keep asking questions until the answer gets me on fire.  Don't just go with the first answer we get but keep on until you full believe and trust and it's honest to you. All of these ingredients are needed to be moment to moment.
